CAROLINE, N.Y. (WHCU) — A large number of residents in Caroline are opposed to the town’s zoning draft proposal.
Over 1,200 people signed a petition in a 14-month span, which was delivered to the town board last week. According to the Ithaca Voice, the number of signatures makes up roughly 38% of the town’s population. Petitioners are asking the town for a two-year delay in zoning. The town released a zoning draft resolution in January.
Caroline’s Zoning Commission meets tonight at seven o’clock.
