ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Ithaca City School District wants to expand its capacity for electric buses.

The district’s school board has approved a plan to build a new bus garage and bus washing station in a proposal that requires approval from voters. In the plan, the district would have a $125 million spending limit over 10 years. The proposal also includes adding more charging stations for electric buses.

It’ll appear on the district’s budget vote in May.
