PREBLE, NY (607NewsNow) – Cortland County has awarded a bid to rebuild a recreational space for kids.

On April 24, Alabama-based company WillyGoat was selected to manufacture and install a new playground at Dwyer Memorial Park.

The playground equipment at the popular park in Preble was removed earlier this year to address safety concerns after an injury and a subsequent lawsuit.

Approximately $80,000 in funding for the project comes from the Tobacco Asset Securitization Corporation.
