ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A 44-year-old Ithaca man has been arrested in a months-long grand larceny investigation. 

IPD says jewelry and antiques were stolen from an Ithaca home in January. Steven Gierlach was identified as the suspect. A search warrant was served Friday at his house and business. Police say they found some of the stolen jewelry and an illegal handgun.

Gierlach is charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.
