TULLY, NY (607NewsNow) – An investigation is ongoing after a fatal accident on State Route 281.

On July 15, State Police responded to a crash between an SUV and a motorcycle near the intersection of Meeting House Road in the town of Tully just after 11:15 a.m.

Troopers say an SUV was making a left turn out of a parking lot onto Route 281 when it collided with a motorcycle. The operator of the motorcycle, later identified as 26-year-old Jacob Lyman, of Homer, was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SUV, 73-year-old Robert Brhel, of Fabius, was not injured.
