ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — Tompkins County is seeing more reports of strokes.
In May, dispatchers received 31 calls about the medical emergencies. That’s the highest number in over a year.
May was National Stroke Awareness Month. Warning signs include numbness on one side of the body, a drooping face, and trouble speaking.
