ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Two people are recovering after getting hit by a car in Ithaca.

Police say the two were struck just after 7 p.m. Tuesday while in the crosswalk on South Albany St. The vehicle stopped briefly, then left.

Officers tracked the vehicle down later that night and arrested the driver, Philip Aument. Charges against him include aggravated DWI and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

The two pedestrians were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
