BINGHAMTON, NY (607NewsNow) – A Broome County man is facing gun and drug charges.

On September 12, State Police were called to an apartment in Chenango for a report of suspicious activity at an apartment on Kattleville Road in the Town of Chenango.

Troopers say 35-year-old Craig Brown, of Binghamton was in possession of multiple illegal assault weapons, a large capacity magazine, suspected drugs, and a handgun he was not permitted to own.

Additionally, Brown allegedly fired a weapon inside the residence.

Brown is charged with two misdemeanors and eight felonies, including four counts of criminal possession of an assault weapon, and reckless endangerment.
