ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A 26-year-old Van Etten man is accused of ramming into a police vehicle.
The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a trespassing call Thursday evening in the town of Ithaca. A Ford F-150 pickup truck was seen in the parking lot, and deputies pulled behind to keep the driver from leaving.
Officers say Gregory Edwards accelerated in reverse, slammed into the patrol vehicle, and backed up onto the hood. Deputies were not injured, and Edwards was charged with criminal mischief and two misdemeanors.
