WASHINGTON, D.C. (WHCU) — Congressman Marc Molinaro is backing a bipartisan bill that protects in-vitro fertilization. 

Molinaro has co-sponsored the Access to Family Building Act, which would establish a legal right to IVF.

The bill is a response to a recent ruling by the Alabama Supreme Court, which declared last month that frozen embryos created through IVF are children. Alabama’s governor has signed a law restoring access to in-vitro fertilization.
