ITHACA. N.Y. (WHCU) — Ithaca is seeing less and less snow each year.

The Ithaca Voice reports the city’s average snowfall has dropped in the past decade. Ingrid Zabel at the Cayuga Nature Center has reviewed snowfall in Ithaca dating back half a century.

Zabel notes that 50 years ago, the average yearly snow total was 68 inches. It’s fallen to 57 inches in the last 10 years.
