ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Ithaca Police Department is officially operating on a new contract.
Beginning today, starting pay for officers jumps to over 74 thousand dollars while the top base pay increases to over 100 grand. The deal, which was finalized between the city and Ithaca PBA in October, marked IPD’s first new contract in a decade. The contract will remain in place through the end of 2026.
Ithaca PBA President Tom Condzella spoke about the contract and repairing the relationship between IPD and City Hall Friday on Ithaca’s Morning News.
