ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – There is still time to help shape a greener future in Tompkins County.

There are currently vacancies on the Climate and Sustainable Energy Advisory Board (CaSE) and the Environmental Management Council (EMC). There is just one vacancy at CaSE. At EMC, there are multiple at-large vacancies and three vacancies for municipal seats. The municipal seats are open to residents in the City of Ithaca, Town of Danby, Town of Ithaca, Town of Newfield, and Village of Lansing. Those candidates must get a written endorsement from the governing board or head elected official of their municipality in addition to filling out an application.

People interested in the volunteer positions must apply by the end of the day on Friday. Appointments start on January 1, 2024.
