ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — One of Cornell’s biggest donors has died.
The Cornell Chronicle reports Chuck Feeney passed away in California last week. Feeney, a 1956 graduate of Cornell, donated nearly one billion dollars to the university through his philanthropic foundation.
Cornell President Martha Pollack says Feeney’s generosity “set an inspirational standard for what it means to be a Cornellian.”
Feeney was 92.
