ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – An Ithaca man faces life in prison.

On August 21, the Tompkins County Grand Jury indicted Autreyu Massaline on charges of second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence.

Massaline is accused of stabbing 54-year-old Edward Warren on the night of July 24 at the corner of South Plain Street and Elmira Road in Ithaca. Warren later died in the hospital.

The 25-year-old Massaline was located and arrested several days after the crime.

The maximum sentence for murder in the second degree is 25 years to life.
