PREBLE, NY (607NewsNow) – A popular spot for kids in Cortland County has reopened.

On July 18, officials with Cortland County cut the ribbon on the new playground at Dwyer Memorial County Park. The old one was torn down earlier this year to make way for new equipment that meets modern safety standards.

“We are thrilled to welcome families back to Dwyer Park with a safe, modern playground that children can enjoy for years to come,” said Cortland County Legislative Chair Kevin Fitch. “This project is a testament to the county’s commitment to improving public spaces while ensuring the safety of all who use them.”

The playground in Preble is the first project completed by Cortland County’s newly formed Public Works Department.
