ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Ithaca is getting ready to send in another DRI application.
Proposals are being accepted until mid-July for the $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative award. Mayor Robert Cantelmo says the money, which is the city’s 8th attempt at winning, “will benefit the quality of life and downtown experience of our residents, visitors, and future generations. It is essential that we welcome as many eligible applications as possible in order to move forward with the strongest set of projects to be included in the City’s application.”
According to city officials, “Organizations, businesses, and entities planning capital investments within the designated DRI boundary or within one-block are strongly encouraged to submit their Project Proposal Submission Form, along with any supplementary materials, electronically, in-person or by mail no later than July 14th at 5:00 pm.”
The proposals received will be reviewed by the Ithaca DRI Steering Committee for submission in Round 9 of state funding.
