The season’s over for the Little Red. The girl’s lacrosse team at Ithaca High School were bested Friday by Suffern at SUNY Cortland, 11-5. The team boasts a 17-2 season and the Section IV Class A championship.

The Ivy League is continuing its relationship with ESPN. Six football games will be telecast on ESPNU, including the Cornell-Harvard matchup on October 10.

The Mets were shut out by the Rays, 9-0. It was the first 3-game sweep for the Amazin’s this season. Next up for the Mets is a series with the Braves that starts tomorrow night.
