GROTON, NY (607NewsNow) – Winners of a $9.8 million lotto jackpot in Groton have come forward.

On June 9, the New York Lottery announced that Kim and Gary Van Benschoten matched all six numbers in a drawing on May 2.

Lotto officials say the couple is splitting the lump sum payment, with each receiving over $2.5 million after taxes. The ticket was purchased at the Speedway on Main Street.
