ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — Authorities are saying more about a homicide in Ithaca.

43-year-old Ahmed Abed turned himself in to police Monday after allegedly killing his wife. According to court documents, Abed used a blunt object and kitchen knife early Monday morning on his wife, Alaa Husien Jeena Abedie. Police found her body at their home on South Plain Street.

IPD says Abed told them he “intended” to kill his wife. Abed was charged with 2nd-degree murder.
