BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WHCU) — Binghamton will be getting a Rod Serling statue.

Organizers of a Kickstarter to help fund the project say their goal of $35,000 has been reached. Nick Parisi is president of the Rod Serling Memorial Foundation. He says the statue won’t be unveiled this year.

The Rod Serling statue will be installed at Recreation Park in Binghamton, a location that inspired the classic Twilight Zone episode “Walking Distance.”
