OWEGO, NY (CortacaToday) — An Owego-based foundation is contributing more money to TC3.

The Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation has awarded a $15,000 grant to support Tioga County residents studying at the Dryden campus in the 2024 to 2025 academic year.

“The generosity of the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation has made a significant difference in the lives of hundreds of students through the years. We are humbled and grateful for their continued support,” said Jason Pomeroy, executive director of the Tompkins Cortland Community College Foundation.

“This assistance has made a college education possible for so many students in Tioga County, and that in turn has had a positive influence on the entire community. We are tremendously appreciative of our relationship with the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation and to be able to continue to support more students in their pursuit of a college degree.”

With the grant, students typically receive between 250 and 500 dollars a year. The foundation has donated over half a million dollars to TC3 going back over 30 years.
