WAVERLY, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Tioga County man faces charges after an investigation into a domestic incident.
37-year-old Michael DeFinis, of Waverly, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2023, after an alleged dispute in the village. A female victim came to the Waverly Police Department and reported that DeFinis punched her car window out and pointed a gun at her face, threatening to kill her. Authorities arrived at the residence and took DeFinis into custody without incident. Two handguns were recovered at the residence.
DeFinis is charged with felonies of criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. He is additionally charged with misdemeanor menacing. He was taken to Tioga County Cap Court to await further legal action.
