FREETOWN, N.Y. (WHCU) – One man in Cortland County is facing charges for violating an order of protection.
32-year-old Michael Palmer, of Freetown, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023, for texting someone who had a full stay away order against him. Palmer was previously arrested for violating the same order just weeks ago on February 21, 2023.
Palmer was again charged with felony criminal contempt in the 1st degree for violating the order and having been previously convicted of contempt in the 2nd degree in the previous two years on an unrelated matter. He is additionally charged with felony aggravated family offense and misdemeanor stalking.
Palmer is scheduled to appear in Town of Freetown Court on March 22, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.
