ALBANY, NY (CortacaToday) — Jobs are on the rise in the Southern Tier.

According to new data from the New York Department of Labor, Ithaca had roughly 57,700 jobs in June 2023. That’s increased to about 58,500, equating to a gain of 0.8%.

Cortland County also saw an improvement in job numbers between June 2023 to June 2024 — 18,300 to 18,500 jobs, up 1.1%.

Across New York, job growth rose 1.5%.
