ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — An Ithaca woman is being charged with stabbing a man inside his home on Spencer Road.

Police responded Thursday afternoon to a 911 call. When they arrived, the male victim was being treated for a ‘significant laceration’ on his forearm. Once the bleeding was brought under control, the victim told police the stabbing happened after the suspect entered his home without permission and began a verbal altercation.

24-year-old Jessica Leigh Anderson was arrested a short time later and charged with felony burglary and assault, and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon. Anderson was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and was taken to the Tompkins County Jail, where bail was set at $1,000.

The victim, who has not been identified, is expected to make a full recovery.
