NEWFIELD, NY (WHCU) — The Newfield Central School District’s budget re-vote is eight days away.

Business Administrator Perry Gorgen says if the 25.4 million dollar spending plan is rejected, the district will default to a contingency budget.

It would also keep the tax levy at the current level.

Gorgen says district officials will outline possible cuts during a public hearing on the new budget proposal tonight at 5:30 at the Newfield High School library.
