ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli has released 2023 data for court fees and fine collections.
Municipal courts in Cortland County collected just over $1.4 million last year. Cortlandville Town Court was responsible for just under $1.1 million of that total, which ranks as the 32nd highest in the state. It was nearly $1 million more than the next-highest collected total in Marathon.
Courts in Tompkins County brought in about $880,000. The Town of Dryden had the highest tally, at just over $215,000, followed by Ithaca and Newfield. Enfield had the lowest collected amount at $30,000.46.
Town and village courts in Tioga County collected around $690,000. Nichols led the way at $286,106.50.
