NEWFIELD, N.Y. (WHCU) — School aid in the Newfield Central School District for the upcoming school year is flat, says Business Administrator Perry Gorgen.
The district’s spending plan for the 2024 to 2025 academic year is 4% higher than this year’s budget and includes a 3.5% tax levy hike.
Superintendent Eric Hartz says federal funding helped steer Newfield’s school through a tough time.
The budget vote is May 21.
