DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) — Students in Human Services at Tompkins Cortland Community College can now seamlessly transfer to Binghamton University after graduating.
The agreement, which was signed Thursday, will allow graduates of the Dryden school interested in social work to continue their education in Broome County.
“The need for social workers in our region is acute, which makes agreements like this one so vital. Our partnership with Binghamton University provides our graduates the ability to transfer with the SUNY system to earn a bachelor’s degree in a high-demand field that greatly enhances their career opportunities,” TC3 President Amy Kremenek said. “This agreement will ultimately help lead our graduates into rewarding professions that will make lasting, widespread positive impacts in our community.”
Students in TC3’s Human Services program will be able to pursue a bachelor’s degree in social work at BU’s College of Community and Public Affairs. Kremenek signed the deal with Binghamton University Associate Dean Matthew McConn.
The agreement applies to students in TC3’s Human Services program who are interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work within Binghamton University’s renowned College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA).
Kremenek has also signed transfer agreements with Cornell University, Syracuse University, RIT, and other 4-year schools.
