CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – More than $20,000 has been raised to support Guthrie Cortland Medical Center (GCMC).

Last week, the Cortland Memorial Foundation held its annual Nightingale Benefit Concert at the Center for the Arts of Homer. Carey Wilk, the Oncology Nurse Navigator at Renzi Cancer Center, was honored as the 2024 Nightingale Award Winner. The award, named after the mother of modern nursing Florence Nightingale, is given to a nurse who shows dedication and passion.

Wilk was nominated by her colleagues, a patient, and community members for her dedication to excellence and compassionate service.
