MONTOUR, NY (607NewsNow) – A 75-year-old Schuyler County man is facing charges after an alleged domestic disturbance.

On September 28, deputies responded to a report of gunfire at a home in the Town of Montour around 9 pm.

Authorities say Kevin Voorhees, of Montour Falls, aimed a gun at the victim and shot in their direction several times as they attempted to leave the area in a vehicle. After 20 minutes of attempting to safely secure Voorhes, who was then taken into custody without incident.

Voorhees is charged with assault, menacing, and reckless endangerment. He was arraigned and held on cash bail.
