WINDSOR, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Sanford man awaits his day in court from a Broome County jail cell.
Deputies arrested 37-year-old Scott Hanrahan on Saturday after a traffic stop on I-86 in Windsor. Hanrahan, a two-time felon, was allegedly found with a loaded assault rifle and two 25-round high-capacity magazines. Deputies say a spoon found in the vehicle with a white powdery substance field tested positive for cocaine.
Hanrahan is charged with criminal possession of a weapon as a felon, criminal possession of an assault weapon, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon for large-capacity ammunition feeding devices, all felonies. Hanrahan is additionally charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.
