AUBURN, N.Y. (WHCU) — A Lansing man, who pleaded guilty in January to stealing money from a Cayuga County business, will spend time behind bars.

Scott Brenchley was sentenced Tuesday to serve one and a half to four and a half years in state prison. Prosecutors say Brenchley stole nearly $300,000 between July 2022 and May 2023 while working as a controller for the business.

Brenchley must also pay restitution as part of his sentence.
