DRYDEN, NY (607NewsNow) — The Dryden Elementary School has a new safety rule.
The bus circle in front of the building is closed to the public during school days between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. A sign informing about the closure has been posted, with a sign on top of a cone placed at the bus circle entrance.
“These additions help keep our fire lanes open for emergency vehicles and ensure a safer environment for our students, staff, and visitors while buses arrive throughout the day,” the district said in a Facebook post.
“We have also added signage for our crosswalks on James St. to increase safety and visibility for those walking to and from school each day,” officials added.
