BARTON, NY (607NewsNow) – A Tioga County farm is facing a long road after a fire.

On August 2, firefighters were called to Barton after an explosion at Stronghaven Farms.

According to WBNG-TV, owners noticed one side of the building had caught fire after hearing a loud bang around 5:15 p.m. By the time they reached the building, located at the top of a hill, the structure was fully engulfed.

Millions of dollars’ worth of equipment was lost in the blaze, including all of the farm’s tractors, harvesters, and planting machinery, and owners are scrambling to be ready in time for harvest. Neighbors and local community members have already stepped up to help clear the debris.

No animals were injured.
