HOMER, NY (607NewsNow) – An argument leads to criminal charges for a Homer man.
On July 28, State Police were called to a home on Route 281 just before noon for a reported physical altercation.
Troopers say Robert Benson punched someone in the face and placed them in a chokehold during the fight. The 51-year-old is charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanor assault, and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
The victim was treated at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
