ULYSSES, N.Y. (WHCU) — Ulysses is considering consolidating its court system.
Talks are underway to reduce the number of judges from two to one. Town Supervisor Katelin Olson says bail reform is largely causing a decline in revenue.
“The reality is, is that the court has gotten more expensive to maintain,” she says.
Olson adds Dryden is consolidating Freeville’s court in the coming years.
The Ulysses Town Board will continue discussions on April 23.
