CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – Cortland has a problem with its wastewater, and help is on the way.
The city has received $2,202,400 in state funding to make upgrades at its wastewater treatment facility. The improvements, made possible through New York’s Water Quality Improvement Project grant program, will help reduce the amount of phosphorus and nitrogen entering the Tioughnioga River and the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
