ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The superintendent at Ithaca City School District is getting a head start on budget talks. 

Doctor Luvelle Brown tells us capital projects are a big part of the district’s budget, going back about 20 years. 

If the budget draft is approved by the school board, Brown says teachers would get a bump in pay. 

Ithaca’s school budget vote is in May.
