ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Ithaca College and a former dean want a lawsuit filed by a student dismissed, but that student is blocking their efforts.

The Ithacan reports the student, who’s listed as John Doe in court papers, filed the suit in November. He says he was the victim of sexual harassment by Bryan Roberts, former associate dean in the Park School of Communications.

In January, IC and Roberts filed motions to dismiss the case, but the student filed a memorandum of law Monday to deny the request. Both the school and Roberts have until Tuesday to respond.
