OWEGO, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tioga County is getting a chunk of opioid settlement money.

County officials say the county has already received around $440,000, with more money expected over the next several years. The money can be used for education, prevention, and treatment of opioid use disorders.

The Tioga County Mental Hygiene office is accepting feedback from the public and non-profit groups on the best use of the funding through the end of March.
