ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office is touting the success of the Gun Involved Violence Elimination program.
Between July and December, Sheriff Derek Osborne says five illegal guns and gun parts were seized and several violent offenders were arrested. Osborne also says that on Thursday night, deputies and IPD arrested a Brooklyn man in Ithaca who had over 30 individually packaged bags of meth, 16 bags of heroin, and over $2,600 dollars in cash.
45-year-old Ramal Abdullah was arrested and charged with second-and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and some misdemeanors.
