ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — An Ithaca man is being charged with attempted murder for a shooting over the weekend.
Police say Eymel Deas was arrested Sunday after being spotted by deputies. The 28-year-old allegedly got into a verbal argument with the victim on Saturday, then pulled out a gun and began firing shots. The victim is listed in stable but serious condition.
Deas was arraigned last night on charges of attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. He’ll return to Ithaca City Court on Friday.
