MARATHON, N.Y. (WHCU) – Authorities are trying to identify two suspects who allegedly used counterfeit money in Cortland County.
Investigators say two men entered the Dollar General on West Main Street in the village of Marathon on the afternoon of October 30 and used five fake $100 bills to purchase a gift card. They left the store in a dark-colored sedan that authorities say possibly had a white license plate. Anyone who recognizes the men pictured below or has information relevant to the investigation is asked to call the State Police at (607)-561-7400 and reference case number 11691973.
