DANBY, N.Y. (WHCU) — Voters in Danby will see a local proposition on the ballots.

Under a proposed town law, the town clerk would become an appointed position instead of an elected position.

It’s been approved by the town board but requires a majority vote among registered voters in Danby before it can be adopted.

Early voting starts on Saturday. Election Day is Tuesday, November 7.
