CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Cortland County man charged with multiple felonies last week, including attempted murder, has received another charge.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested 37-year-old Matthew Clark, of Truxton, on Thursday for allegedly setting a Cortlandville home on fire with two people inside on September 17. On Friday, while in custody, Clark received an additional felony charge of grand larceny for an unrelated crime. Clark is accused of stealing a vehicle from Hope Lake Lodge at Greek Peak on September 18. The vehicle was later recovered, unoccupied.

Clark will appear in court at a later date.
