CAROLINE, N.Y. (WHCU) — A former Caroline town employee has died. 

Scott Whittaker began working for the town’s highway department in 1977, which included serving six years as highway superintendent. Whittaker retired from his
full-time work for the town in 2010 but continued in a part-time role for another nine years.

Whittaker, who passed away last Wednesday, was 65. Funeral services are being held today at the Perkins Funeral Home in Dryden.
