SUMMERHILL, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cayuga County man awaits his day in court.

On November 27, deputies responded to a reported domestic incident just before 3:30 p.m. at a home in the Town of Summerhill.

Joseph Frost, 38, is accused of getting into a physical altercation with a woman in front of a child. Also, Frost allegedly took and broke the victim’s phone when she attempted to call for help.

Frost is charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief, misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, and, because of a previous domestic violence conviction within the last 5 years, felony aggravated family offense.

Frost is scheduled to appear in Summerhill Town Court on December 9 at 5:30 p.m.
