ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Members of a committee in Tompkins County want Governor Hochul to veto a bill that would impact local elections.

In June, the state Legislature adopted a resolution that changes town and county elections from odd-numbered years to even-numbered years beginning in 2025.

Tompkins County’s Council of Governments will vote tomorrow on a resolution that calls on the governor to not sign the bill. Tomorrow’s meeting is being held at three o’clock.
